My wife and I took a drive out to the country to photograph the Dahl Family.
A photographers ideal place to shoot. An old fallen down barn that had been in the family for generations. On a Hot day with blue skies.
When we arrived I saw that barn and wanted to photograph the Dahl Family in front of it. Now let me tell you as an artist and photographer I've been told I'm crazy and what I'm thinking just will not look good. So I'm used to it, but with a little power of persuasion and agreeing to photograph other places on the farm, I was able to get a couple photographs that I personally enjoy! Guess what those are also the photos the family picked.
One of my Favorites on this photo shoot was not planned or posed which is my favorite photo! You just have to be ready to move fast and get what you see. Quickly grabbed the light spun it around and before they knew it the photo was captured! Yes it makes me as excited right now as it did when I photographed this couple in there Sunday clothes, sitting on the back of a old pick up in a barn that had seen better days. Oblivious to the world in there own conversation laughing and joking as if they were newly weds! What a great example to see after almost 50 years of marriage they still enjoy each others company! As a Photographer and Artist I'm truly blessed to be able to capture these little moments in time that a family can cherish for years to come!
Thank you to the Dahl Family for hiring me to capture a moment in time for them.
Until next time take care or as my Filipino friends and family say "Amping Permi" or "Ingat"
