If you happen to have received a flyer in your car and are here because of that Welcome! That flyer landing in your car is all thanks to my Dad and Nephew, it became a competition between the two of them. I can't believe its already been a week since MSRA's Back to the 50's! We had amazing weather this year with only a little rain on Saturday morning. A little bit about myself and Back to the 50's. I've been going to Back to the 50's before I could even walk and when I run into friends of my dad they always say I remember when and boy do I feel old now. Which always makes me smile. Back to the 50's is a great event for so many reasons. The one I want to emphasize is Family and Friends! They are what makes this hobby so much fun! I could've taking a million pictures and did have two cameras hanging off of me, but instead I enjoyed the company and looking at all the beautiful rolling art and what people do with there imaginations.

As you can see in that photo my Dad, Brother & Nephew walking and talking. I was hanging back with my Mom and Sister in Law when my Nephew grabbed my Brothers arm and my Mom said quick take a picture. Both my Mom and Sister in Law said that probably wouldn't happen to much more as he is growing up so very fast. I'm sure my Mom has watched my Brother and I go from holding Dads hand pulling him in every direction at the carshows to growing up joking and kidding and still talking about cars and what we would like to do if we had a billion dollars and was reflecting on all of that when she saw them holding hands. Sunday was the last day of the event which also happened to be Fathers Day! This Year I found an old gargage style lamp at the swap meet and bought that for Dad's shed. There was a time he used to try to roll out of the garage and try to go to the swap meet by himself on Sunday's because its not really a good place to bring little kids. I remember one year though about the age of 5 that I was up and dressed myself and when he was about to start the car I was standing in the garage. So he took me just the two of us. I don't remember the swap meet at all but do remember sitting in the front seat of that 1949 Dodge just enjoying life and it was just Dad and I.

I will always look back on this car show and all the others with fond memories and I'm sure at some point I'll say to my Nephew I remember when and boy do I feel old.

Until next time take care and drive safe in what ever you are rolling in.
